The life-changing magic of tidying up! January 2023 Newsletter

It’s been a little over a year that I became a KonMari Consultant, helping clients tidy in the Marie Kondo method. But it’s been a lifetime of cleaning and organizing as a form of finding solace. When I organize and declutter, I am creating order and space – I’ve always craved this.

My mind occasionally races with too many thoughts, worries, past trauma; but when I tidy, my body and mind relax as I fully engage in the act of creating order, calm and balance.

This is why I love sharing the life-changing magic of tidying up!

When you tidy with the thought of how beneficial and therapeutic this home-making activity can be you may find that heart-opening space you crave. It is where I find my flow, my strength. It’s as if the home is the outer expression of our inner-life.

When my home is in order - with nothing extra - I can focus on the present moment and the future. I have more energy for the people I love.

However! I also realize this is not true for everyone. For many people exercise is their jam, or cooking, while I find it so hard to get motivated on those fronts.

I recently started working one-on-one with a Pilates instructor and it is literally the only way I can get myself to be accountable to a specific exercise routine. So, by all means, if you can’t get motivated to declutter and you need a personal coach – call me or someone helpful!

This month I read “A little bit of Feng Shui” An introduction to the energy of the home by Ai Matsui Johnson. I highly recommend it if you want some simple and inspirational tips on Feng Shui and space clearing!

Think about adding a space clearing goal to your New Year’s intentions!

Warmly,

Rebecca
